For Porsche, Audi & Volkswagen buyers

Pre-purchase inspections in Los Angeles.

An inspection checks the car’s condition on the day of the inspection. Depending on the car and the checks you agree on, it may include visual and mechanical checks and a diagnostic scan.

Use the findings to ask the seller about repairs and decide what needs attention before you buy. A diagnostic scan helps, but it cannot tell you everything about the car.

What will the inspection cost?

Send the year, model, VIN, mileage, and anything you want checked. We can then discuss a quote for that car. Before booking, confirm what’s included, what report you’ll receive, and how long it will take. Extra diagnostic tests may need a separate quote.

What it cannot promise

An inspection cannot predict every future failure. Some parts are hidden or hard to reach, and a problem that comes and goes may not show up during the visit. It does not include an engine teardown or a title or vehicle-history check. Discuss any extra testing with the shop before booking.

How to get started

How to arrange an inspection.

  1. 01

    Share the details.

Send the year, make, model, VIN if available, mileage, listing, seller location, timing, and what you would like the shop to look at.

  2. 02

    Arrange access with the seller.

Check that the seller or dealer can bring the car to the shop. Then contact us to agree on the checks and arrange a time.

  3. 03

    Review what was found.

Read the findings alongside the service records. Ask about anything you don’t understand before making your buying decision.

Questions for the seller

Take this list with you when you view the car. Keep the VIN, mileage, listing, and seller’s contact details with your notes.

  • Are service records or repair invoices available?
  • Are there warning lights, current symptoms, leaks, or recent repairs to know about?
  • Has the vehicle had any damage or major mechanical work?
  • Can the seller or dealer arrange access at the inspection shop?
  • Is there a particular concern or question you want the shop to consider?

Need a specific test? Ask the shop whether it can be included before you book.
